Only Twenty-Six Aston Martin Volante "Prince of Wales" were ever built. The first was handcrafted for Prince Charles, which he and Princess Diana enjoyed together. Of the remaining 25, only five were left-hand drive, to be sold in the United States. What does this mean? You won't find a more unique vehicle for your special occasion anywhere.
From their founding in 1913, Aston Martin has built a reputation for handcrafted automobiles with absolutely no compromise. An "Instant Classic", the Volante, built from 1978 to 1989, is what many consider the ultimate manifestation of that reputation. With its debut, Aston Martin accomplished what so many other auto manufacturers have attempted in vain -- the perfect alloy of sports and luxury. It is a Thoroughbred; a Grand Tourer of legendary racing pedigree, adorned with the beauty, elegance, and sophistication of the world's finest luxury car. James Bond would have driven nothing less.
Parchment Connolly leather with contrasting trim, Wilton wool carpets, and three different types of wood adorn the interior. The body is handcrafted of aluminum, one car at a time, with each body and chassis taking sixteen weeks to build. The engine is hand built by a single master mechanic, and is marked with a plaque bearing his name. Each car is coated in 21 coats of paint, with each coat polished by hand before applying the next. Ours is a beautiful silver-bronze called Telford Gray.
We believe this to be the only Aston Martin for hire in the world. The reaction of party guests to "Edward" is truly astounding. At weddings, the bride and groom can depart like king and queen, amidst a shower of rose petals. We also offer the Aston Martin in combination with another car, which you may transfer into shortly after leaving the reception. This is useful for longer trips where more legroom may be desired. Photo shoots with the Volante are also an unforgettable work of art.
